After transitioning from DO AI to CoRight AI, we remain committed to providing Hong Kong students with AI learning tools specifically designed for the DSE. From now on, CoRight AI has officially upgraded to CoRight AI 2.0, offering AI-assisted practice and guidance covering the entire exam paper in addition to writing support for Paper 2.
CoRight AI offers members a permanent free plan, while also providing an upgrade to the Premium plan at a monthly cost of HKD 20, delivering a comprehensive and affordable AI platform for students striving to excel in the DSE. Compared to most membership-based AIs, CoRight AI considers the economic realities of Hong Kong students and aims to provide an affordable AI assistant for them.
With CoRight AI's free plan, students can experience basic features at no cost, including unlimited writing practice (brainstorming, vocabulary, review, and grading functionality), flashcards, dialogue with AI, and speaking practice twice a week.
In the monthly plan, students can not only enjoy unlimited access to all features of the free plan but also unlock full capabilities of CoRight AI, including writing patterns, news clipping, and comprehension question generation, providing more targeted DSE learning solutions.
Upon logging into CoRight AI, starting from the Dashboard, you can view your Tokens, level, current streak, and your Targets.
Tokens: Tokens are the currency used for certain features of CoRight AI like writing practice, which can be earned for free through daily practice.
Level: Completing writing submissions, speaking practices, and other actions allows you to earn experience points, helping you level up and unlock achievements.
Current streak: Increase your current streak by practicing daily, establishing consistency in your practice habits.
Your Targets: Students can choose their DSE target levels, and the homepage will also display each person’s overall writing targets and their estimated current DSE level.
Before starting to use CoRight AI, head to Goals and Progress to input your targets, including your overall level, writing paper scores, and speaking paper scores, so that CoRight AI can provide more precise recommendations and assessments.
Besides being able to view your level and input target scores, Goals and Progress also includes each person’s English Growth Journey. Everyone starts as a seed, nourishing it daily through practice to give it water and sunlight to grow. However, if you stop practicing for a few days, your tree will begin to wither and ultimately dry up. This means that only through persistent practice can it continue to thrive.
Your tree represents your English; care for it daily, give it sunlight through practice, and watch both grow robustly together.
Daily Exercises include My Vocab, Sentence Patterns, Creative Writing, and Quick Quiz. Among them, sentence pattern practice, creative writing, and quick quizzes can all earn tokens to use other features of CoRight AI.
The vocabulary section compiles English words that students have saved from writing practices for daily review. The webpage will first display the English word, and upon clicking, it will show the Chinese-English translation and example sentences, allowing students to continuously engage and reinforce their learning every day.
Sentence pattern practice provides one sentence structure each time, including the structure itself and composition, then lets students create their own sentences. Correct sentences can earn tokens. Even if a sentence is incorrect, CoRight AI will offer explanations, writing tips, and improved sentences.
Creative writing starts with selecting the option for AI to generate a creative exercise, where AI generates prompts for students to unleash their imagination through writing and elaboration, in both Chinese and English. Upon completion, students not only earn tokens, but AI also provides feedback on their practices and suggestions for improvement. Creative practices not only cultivate a daily writing habit in students but also train the creative thinking necessary for conceptual writing, allowing students to be better prepared for actual exams.
The Quick Quiz updates daily with multiple-choice questions designed to help solidify knowledge of English grammar, vocabulary retention, etc., allowing students to earn tokens for writing practice while practicing their English.
In the Writing section, students begin their writing practice from scratch:
Start by selecting a topic based on the DSE English writing paper structure, needing to choose which part of the question they want to connect with, then select whether to practice Part A/B. After that, choose your target level, allowing AI to offer writing suggestions and phrases based on the selected target level. Students have three options for topic selection: 1. Create their own topic 2. Have AI generate a topic 3. Choose a topic from past DSE papers for practice.
We can receive support from CoRight AI in five aspects: Brainstorming, Vocabulary, Sentence Patterns, Review, and Grading.
In Brainstorming mode, AI can provide different directions and points of discussion based on the topic, helping students explore different angles of the question and expand their thinking through daily practice with various arguments.
In Vocabulary mode, AI provides appropriate English words based on the topic and input target level, including Chinese-English translations, English definitions, and example sentences. This helps students not only to engage with a variety of English vocabulary but also understand how to use the words in their writing.
In Sentence Patterns mode, the sentence structures provided by AI not only align with the input target level but also include example sentences relevant to the writing topic. Offering students various sentence structures to incorporate into their essays enriches the content and diversity of their writing, improving their writing capabilities to enhance their grades.
After completing the essay, before grading by AI, you should Review your work. AI’s review will specifically point out any grammatical issues in the essay to refine your writing. Each mistake will come with the correct version and an explanation, allowing students to understand and learn from their errors.
Finally, the moment of assessing results arrives! The Grading mode will evaluate your writing according to the DSE grading criteria and provide an overall assessment, enabling students to understand their proficiency and improve their writing skills through the writing scores and comments received, along with corresponding tokens awarded.
In Speaking practice, students can record short speeches based on self-selected topics. After submitting the recording, AI will begin analyzing the audio and generate feedback.
From AI’s feedback, the recording content will be transcribed into text, which allows students to review their speaking performance in text form for improvement. Grading also uses the DSE grading mechanism, ensuring adherence to exam requirements and providing appropriate suggestions and comments.
If you want to conduct writing practices outside the DSE format, such as essays, you can use the Talk to AI feature to have AI provide direction. Questions can be posed based on your needs, and AI can follow your customized topics and address any queries. Conversing with AI allows students to resolve issues related to the DSE and writing anytime and anywhere, helping them avoid being stuck by problems that arise during self-study. They can use AI as a tool to solve problems themselves, enhancing their sense of achievement and autonomy in learning.
Errors and sentences from daily practice and writing will be recorded in the Revision cards section. The recorded mistakes will show both incorrect responses and correct answers, with AI providing explanations to aid understanding and prevent repeated mistakes.
