Open Data Competition 2024 — Generative AI Workshop

INSPIRE instructors were invited by HKITF to lead a generative AI workshop for primary school teachers as part of the Open Data Competition 2024. The 3-hour workshop on 26 September covered exploring generative AI, creating personalised AI assistants, AI video creation and prompt engineering.

The workshop introduced NLP and LLM concepts, differences between OpenAI o1 and 4o, and benefits of applying generative AI in education such as accessing the latest resources and generating visual teaching materials.

Instructors guided teachers step by step to create personalised AI assistants using Poe and educational videos using Invideo AI, while demonstrating how to provide clearer prompts for better results.
