2024 — Ying Wa Girls' School Drone Workshop

INSPIRE instructors led an aerial photography experience course at Ying Wa Girls' School. The course included learning about and operating small drones, understanding the basics of drone programming, and conducting indoor and outdoor drone flights within the school grounds.

Indoor Test Flight & Programming

Students first learned about flight principles and drone structure, understanding related STEM knowledge. They practised flying the Tello Talent mini drone indoors using the Tello EDU app, preparing for outdoor aerial photography. Students also performed simple drone programming to complete various flight tasks and display content on the external dot matrix screen.

Outdoor Aerial Photography Practice

After the Tello test flights, the course moved to DJI Mavic professional drone introduction, covering features like DJI Go 4, GPS, VPS, IMU, RTH and battery management. Students then proceeded to outdoor manual flight training at Cyberport for aerial video shooting.
